My name is Folake Dosu. I scribbled on the walls as a toddler and never stopped writing. ๐Ÿ–Š๏ธIโ€™m drawn to people, platforms and places that value and build community, culture and connection. From nonprofit and for-profit to startups and Fortune 500, my work is a constellation. ๐Ÿ’ซ Versatility, curiosity and passion connect the dots.I shine brightest when launching and marketing platforms and communities that invest in forward-thinking, inclusive programming, content and tools.In addition to hosting corporate events as the founder of Trivia For The Culture ๐Ÿค“ and connecting diverse professionals through Find Your People Here ๐Ÿ’ผ, I currently run a marketing consultancy called Fans In Focus that helps mission-driven organizations build awareness, deepen brand affinity, foster retention, build community and inspire word-of-mouth buzz. ๐Ÿ’–I learned a thing or two about building fanship as a former marketing executive engaging Disney, Pixar, Marvel Studios, Star Wars and Fox superfans through The Walt Disney Studiosโ€™ reimagined loyalty platform, now Disney+ Perks.

I grew up and currently live in the Chicago area and will gladly let you know its many virtues immediately upon meeting you. โœถ โœถ โœถ โœถMy winter-dodging ways led me to California, first to Stanford ๐ŸŒด (BA in Science, Technology and Society), and then, after working in Chicago's startup scene, returned to the Bay, this time to UC Berkeley ๐Ÿป (MBA). While there, I pivoted to entertainment and moved to LA โ˜€๏ธ after graduation, where I rose through the ranks as a marketing leader at Disney.When I'm not consulting rising brands to develop an integrated marketing approach via fan engagement, I'm a fan of many things: music, reading, food, documentaries and vintage. ๐Ÿ’—
